Frequently Asked Questions _
How often should I have my pool serviced?
Weekly maintenance is highly recommended during the peak swimming season (especially when temperatures are high) to ensure water clarity, balanced chemicals, and proper equipment function. Some pools may opt for bi-weekly, but weekly is the standard for a safe, consistently clear pool.
What is the ideal pH level for my pool water?
The ideal pH level is generally between 7.4 and 7.6. Keeping the pH in this “sweet spot” ensures bather comfort (no burning eyes or itchy skin), protects your pool equipment and surfaces, and allows chlorine to work most effectively.
How often should I test the pool water?
At a minimum, you should test Chlorine/Bromine and Stabilizer daily and PH, Total Alkalinity, and Calcium Hardness weekly. It’s also wise to test after heavy rain, a large party, or any time the water looks off.
How long should I run my pool filter each day?
It is generally recommended to run your pump a minimum of 8-12 hours per day to ensure all the pool water is circulated and filtered adequately (turning over 2-3 times). During hot spells or high-use periods, you may need to run it longer.
